growing in a rental home

Hey everyone.

Im currently shopping around for a house to live and grow in for about 6 months. Its going to be in a very small southern town, so police arent much of a concern, but I was wondering if anyone has experience in renting out a home to grow in.

I plan on changing the locks to the grow room obv, and taking extra smell precautions, but I was just wondering what everyone's .02 on this is, and if they had any advice / personal experience.

I was initially going to just grow in my apartment, but decided it was a bad idea on many levels. I cant afford a house, so I feel renting is the next best thing.

man i wish i could afford to live in humboldt.

just remember the law is far more willing to bust u, than u r smart to avoid them

im just sayin it, that the slightest mistake can be disastrous, so make sure whatever detailed plan u have, u have tested it from pov of law to be a smart one, treat your own plan as u were cop trying to bust u and see if your plan wins

I feel the need to mention that in a small town, police are MORE of an issue than they are when you have the anonymity of a larger city, or a town where the local cops are happily busy chasing 'those dang kids smokin those funny cigarettes behind the gas station'. Having lived in small towns, and grown to LOATHE it, people are NOSY with a capital everything. Give me a big town with an active community of cool people any day... be known when you want, and vanish when you don't.

all of me neighbors in my apartment complex in alabama sat on their porches all day and stared at us whenever we left the house like we were axe murderers or something, lol. in a bigger town, like where I am in south fla right now, no one even acknowledges you when you walk by them, much less pay attention to anything about you. everyone is all wrapped up in their own bs out here..


but the rent in those rural areas is like, $500 a month for a fenced in home. 500 a month out here is a one way ticket to a 1 way efficiency in the projects or ghetto.

hey I know the feeling of living in a rental and wanting to grow. It is hard but not impossible. You might want just to grow a small amount in a lockable portable grow cabinet

I just feel that if I plan it properly, and carry it out with the high level of discipline required to succeed, it will pay off that way I want it to.

I dont have the resources to move to humboldt ;-o


My "dream" is to move there after I finish my 2nd grow, and do it legally.

if u live in a state where there is no programs for MMJ, and if i was u, i would never ever ever risk growing in any kind of rental unit, no matter what!

remember that rental unit is NOT YOUR property, so certain things change in relation with privacy.

however as for properly papered MMJ patients and states, i think others above gave u enough info or can give u more if needed, i live in a stone-age state in regards to anything concerning marijuana!!
