trying to use bud to get off pain pills

yea like the title says iam tryin to use bud to get of stuff that is harmfull to me. any done this?

I was taking Codine, Vicodine and Somas among others for a back / nerve injury. I was addicted to an extent. Daily pain all the time . Marijuana(Indica fer sure) relieves my pains just as much as those narcs, faster acting too. It cost more unless you grow your own , but pill = ill

I'm off pills , and will not go back.
