does anyone have experience growing papaya? early finish, etc.? the smoke is supposed to be good. also germed 20 ak48's. of course after i ordered them i read a bunch of bad stuff about ak48, inferior strain and such. so my plan is to germ these and take the very stoutest, heartiest plant and put her in full sun. sexing the early bud, leda uno and early misty...the neighbor bought some bloom, figures that might help hasten the process. regards

no ex. in the papaya strains. dont keep only the tallest plants because males tend to grow a little bit taller tha females so you will want to keep a little of both short and tall to make sure you get a few females. bloom solutions wont make the plants show their sex quicker, its just used to make the flowers mature faster so the plant can produce as many flowers as poss. befor harvest. hope this helps and if you have any more Q's just post it. appreciate that info, mattaka. especially that diff. strains take diff. times to show sex. and good news, today the neighbor called me over and sure enough, after approx. 10 days of 12/12, plants are starting to show sex, 4 boys from 10 leda unos so far. 2 boys from 10 early buds and the early mistys aren't showing anything yet. neighbor thinks cut the main stalks of the females down to shorten them? man, that early misty has a deep skunky smell. Delta-i hear you....the papaya designation is somewhat confusing to me, i think it is mango or variation of. i've seen pics and the buds look white and i believe it is called a white strain. mattaka where do you start cloning ur plants after you sex them? your advice is appreciated big time

I usually clone the plants about two weeks befor I sex them to make sure the clones root and mark the plants 1-10 or how ever may plants you have and mark the clone after the plant it came off of. Then when the plant shows sex, take out the male plants and male clones. Then you will only have females and you can take any clone from any plant. Hope this helps. Peace

yup, that is a big help as i have 50 of my own seedlings coming up and i will clone them before sexing....geeze....there is alot to all this but thanks to folks like you the process can be made easier to understand for new growers like myself. you germing ur seeds yet, mattaka? peace and good luck.

I will be germinateing my seeds in about 1 more month for my outdoors. I cant wait. Were going to have one of the hottest, driest, summers on record this year. I allready have a smile on my face man. If YOU want free seeds(random seeds but good) E-mail me at [email protected] .Peace.
