    My Head HURTS!

FBR, always enjoy your sharing of all that knowledge!! Thanks, you roc!!

Weeze, thanks, you gave me some solid support, i needed and a bit of a lol at the same time!! I did have a concussion once for 2 yrs, and this isn't quite that bad=sometimes it just takes me a little longer to remember, but in a day or two some things will come up-recent things. I remember date etc. Guess, I will start a thread, bet we aren't the only ones.

Have to have been there. I don't feel the blocked thinking like with the concussion, just a foggy window and I am so glad I am not paralized, I think the fright would have lifted me to the lights for a blaze!!! :rastasmoke:

How is the headache now and what are you doing for it?? Sure hope it is better!! It is a bitch, life is tough enough! PR:rastasmoke:

    Aloha, PR.

    Much better, thanks.
It's been 15 years or so, and partially thanks to thousands of games of solitaire and wonderfully patient friends, the memory part is as good as us old farts get.

My problem was loss of immediate memory not head pain. And it was not caused by head trauma as far as I know.
Though I did trash a very expensive helmet.
I'm pretty sure it was a combination of the long coma, the drugs that induced and maintained the coma and some PTSD.

The wreck broke most of my ribs and popped a lung. Everytime I moved the sharp edges of the shattered ribs would cut something and it's hard to breath without an intact rib cage, yah?

That's why they had to immobilize me with the paralytics.
Well, that, and I kept trying to get up and leave the hospital.
Got about 3 steps and fell right over.
I just didn't believe that I was hurt that bad.
Shock and adrenaline masked a lot of the pain.

And while I sympathise with migrane sufferers, my head was the only part that didn't hurt.
I've never had a migrane, or even a bad headache, (rocks feel no pain), so I can't really know what you feel.
    Been very lucky that way.

I can only imagine it from what has been described to me by my friend who suffers at least 4 migranes a year.
When I whine, it's about my joints.
When it gets real bad, I cry.
Not ashamed of that. And crying produces endorphins.
Worst side effect is a wet face.

When someone asks me what it's like to try to live without short term memory. I suggest the rent a movie called Memento.
A very odd flick but fascinating.
You can tell that the author has "been there".
Ironically, without a good memory, the movie would make no sense at all.

    Please do start a thread.
I'll be happy to share the work-arounds that helped me cope.
Just might be useful to some folks.
Could even be entertaining if we stick some chuckles in it.

So, while I do not know exactly what you are feeling, I do give a rats ass.

    Aloha nui
    Weeze

What!..what changes? and its been 2 months, I think your thinking of something else.

I hear that my doc says he can give me opiates that make me sick and when I am off of them I am even sicker. But no weed no it is bad, Bullshit!. I live the same they give me prescription to go into the ER and get morphine drip if I want to but no weed, no that is not logical, MORONS!

I hope you feel better, and I am sorry to tell you their is no headaches that come from stooping the smoking of cannabis, I hear of allot of people who stop smoking and find they have problems that the herb was helping them cope with, and now that they stop smoking they have gone to other things that are legal but far more harmful. All because Cannabis is illegal.
