yield question

just started my own grow alittle bit ago i have a t5 48 45000 lumins 450 watt if i send thim into flower at about a foot and a half from veg with 5 females what would my yield come to estimations are all im expecting i saw some one on here only harvest 90 grams off of 5 two foot plants if i veg mine for three months will this greatly increase yield im hoping for about 7 ounces without using a hps i would just change my bulbs to the red spectrum

but if 7 ounces is way over estimating let me know i dont want to get my hopes up

i guess all im trying to ask is how long or how big the vegged plant need to be to comfertably produce an ounce of bud

Dude...you obviously haven't been doing as much reading as you could be doing to answer your own questions.

Yield depends on many different things.

â?¢Soil, water, aero environment
â?¢CO2?
â?¢Fertilizer / Nutes
â?¢Light cycle without any light leaks during dark sections
â?¢Watering Schedule
â?¢Watt / sq.foot
â?¢Not to mention the most obvious one, whether or not the genetics of the plant tend to produce more or less bud than average

There you go, Whenever people ask about how much yield they can expect I always laugh cause there's no way you can estimate really...

You're going to have problems with insufficient light if your plants go into flower at 1/5 feet under flouros.
Re-think your training or add a HPS for bloom.

thanks for the reply stinky what size hps would you rec would a 400 do fine or should jump and get the 600 or the 1000

Totally depends upon your space. When in doubt, get the biggest light that you know you will be able to KEEP COOL in the space. This will be a trick to figure out; your exhaust is very important in choosing a lamp and the two should be purchased as a pair, along with an air-cooled hood.

Standard room sizes and lamp sizes for HPS in flower:

5x5 1000w
4x4 600w
3x3 400w
micro <400w, and in a space that small, you WON'T be able to cool your lamp properly, so stick with flouros.

You need about 6 feet tall (or more) of space for a larger lamp, not just for exhaust equipment, but also for the plants and the pots, and the requisite space between canopy and lamp.

In growroom setup, there is a sticky by Rhizome that is really informative.

I would say to aim for an oz. per plant, that's what I'm aiming for and I got a whole master bedroom for my 16 plants, mine are in a room 8 by 8 and under a Lumatek 600 watt digital ballast with HPS bulb. The plants are in a 6 by 6 area, I got the whole works in my room, intake and exhaust and circulation fans, air cooled lights the whole 9 yards. Like I said I'm hoping for and ounce off of each of my 3 Platinum Kush clones, 9 Purple Kush clones, 1 Banana Kush clone, and 3 plants grown from seeds I pulled out of bomb ass chronic. I will be very happy with an oz. per plant, anything more than that would just be a blessing for me. An oz. of dried and cured buds of coarse.

Its always better to not think about how much your going to end up with. Instead put your efforts towards making what you do have growing the best it can be. You can grow a field of MMJ and harvest pounds of bunko. Or spend your time on a handfull of plants and get some fire.
