I'm riding out the storm. I actually have to be part of an emergency team at work. So I'll be at work for the next 48 hours or so (less if I'm lucky).

No.
Just wanted to say 1) dragon: It is admirable that you are there, regardless! I know the feeling (except it was fire).
Flynmm: My heart goes out to you Sounds like it avoided your area because the #1 emergency crew was waiting and it knew it!! It knew, it could be puffed backwards with some mmj exhaust!!
Sometimes it is better to return to nothing than a lot of work and a mess. When you find your baby pictures, your first this or that--you may be happy to clean it up or toss it out! Nice it wasn't so bad!

Its not *just* lousyanna.... but nobody ever hears or talks about the cities in Mississippi that got wiped off the map, or the zip codes that no longer exist. Nobody talks about Homestead FL anymore that got leveled by Andrew, ot Betsy, of Camile, or.....

Ahh.. you should be pretty safe out that way if you're along I-10 and in West Houston (I'm thinking Katy area).

Hope you don't lose power Texas Grass. Hopefully centerpoint will be on the ball if we have a lot of power outages after the storm passes.

Erin came to oklahoma last year...we didn't know it was going to happen until it happened...Never would've thought that living in oklahoma I'd be watching the weather so closely during hurricane season as well..
We didn't have power for like ten days or so, it was pretty crazy..Watonga really got raped..It was kinda cool though..Plenty of free time to drink beer..no tv, no computer, just booze, smoke and quiet..

got some generators, on well water
hurricane straps are stainless steel straps about every 3-5' and a huge screw drilled into the ground about 3' and the trailer strapped to the screws. pretty much standard today to my knowledge.
itll be a interesting ride
