If you're looking to advance as a musician, though, you'd do well to at least learn some basic jazz. Its uses will works its way into all your playing. Go ahead and get some Thelonious Monk.

And yes, of course, the Grateful Dead. "The Eleven" is a prime example of their supreme awesomeness.

Any good music advice?Hey, I dig the Smashing Pumpkins and Alanis Morisset only when she plays the song "Spoon" With DMB. Everyone else on that list can eat shit You do not need to leave your room. Yep jazz will do the trick for music theory. There is a book called the Real Book. Get the latest volume in the Treble Clef. a bit pricey but loaded with sheet music that will turn u into a wonderful musician. u are a guitarist now, but jazz will turn u into the musician u thought did not exist within u.
