Jefferson Airplane. Good stuff.
If you're looking to advance as a musician, though, you'd do well to at least learn some basic jazz. Its uses will works its way into all your playing. Go ahead and get some Thelonious Monk.
And yes, of course, the Grateful Dead. "The Eleven" is a prime example of their supreme awesomeness.

Hey, I dig the Smashing Pumpkins and Alanis Morisset only when she plays the song "Spoon" With DMB. Everyone else on that list can eat shit
You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet. - Franz Kafka.

everyone on that list eats shit. the only reason that song was good is bc DMB had something to do with it. alanis wouldve stolen the show!!!! ahahaha i jsut cant stand the singer dude of smashing pumkins. theyve got cool music some but once the vocals hit, the song changes yo.

Yep jazz will do the trick for music theory. There is a book called the Real Book. Get the latest volume in the Treble Clef. a bit pricey but loaded with sheet music that will turn u into a wonderful musician. u are a guitarist now, but jazz will turn u into the musician u thought did not exist within u.
