the bulb manufacturer in my case (sylvania) states that the minimum distance from the plants is 45cm=18 inches.....try to lift the lights up a bit and see if it works....also the 250watt that is up and running for 18 months in a row, is no good either.....you should change the bulb every six months of continuous operation...even though the manufacturers state the average life of the bulb is longer than that, after six months the bulbs loose in efficiency but they still consume the same wattage anyway!!!!

I got250 watt outside security light for growing in a 6ft x 3ft space , which i am getting about an oz per plant ,(skunk no1). Now for the last 3 grows ive added a cheap 400watt grow light off ebay to go along side it , so each ligh is cosentrated on 3ft x 3ft of the frow room. The plants under the 400watt are very sparse with about a third or quarter the amount of bud on them as the ones under the 250 watt . This has happened three times Rating: 5
