    FIRST CLONE QUESTION

I just took a cutting off a friends Mother plant Sweet Tai. I did all the research from this board and other sites. 45 degree cut from the lower portion of the plant. Shaved a thin layer at the bottom about an inch long. Dipped it in my rooting gel. I removed bottom leaves and cut the top leaves in half. I then placed it in a net pot filled with 1/2 Vermiculite 1/2 perlite. I have the net pot suspended about 3 inches off the bottom inside a larger container. I placed suran wrap over the top of the larger container after misting the clone with a very diluted fertilizer like 1/100th strength. I have a Floro light right over the clone.

My question is should I put water in the bottom of the larger container below the net pot to create humidity? Actually, I have water in it now so visa versa should I remove the water? Is misting 2 times daily enough regarding humidity?
Water or no water below the net pot is the question.

All thoughts and comments are appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

    Peace :stoned:

no ned to add water to the container. The saran wrap over the top will keep most of the water trapped inside the container. You probably won't even have to mist it for several days. As long as you see at least some droplets of water on the saran wrap, it doesn't need more water. Too much moisture will make it root slower.
