Hey, Olber-man! It's Over-man!
MSNBC has finally figured out that, as a straight news political reporter, Keith Olberman makes a great play-by-play announcer of high school football games.
What took so long?
Better yet, who convinced the executive suits at NBC that Olberman could smoothly transition from a career talking about hamstring pulls and groin strains on Jockstrap Central (aka ESPN) to saying anything passably intelligent or insightful about foreign policy or the complexities of the Federal Reserve System?
According to published reports, the hammer fell on Olberman and his obnoxious, screaming sidekick Chris Matthews over the weekend when it was decided that, while both would continue their commentary and opinion shows, neither would be involved in covering campaign news. That chore will be left to whatever grown-ups remain at MSNBC.
Olberman's fate was sealed when NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams and his immediate predecessor, Tom Brokaw --- as close to an elder statesman in TV news as it's possible to get --- told management they were fed up and embarrassed by Olberman's on air antics while anchoring coverage of the party conventions.
Olberman careened from one loony rant to another, insulting guests as well as the network's own reporters and commentators.

So much for Chris Matthews saying that Barack Obama makes him feel funny in his pants. These two have turned MSNBC into a joke due to thier election coverage. Well, the viewers won a battle here and left wing organizations like MoveOn took a hit.

The execs likely had someone remind them of Dan Rathergate, and they actually for once realized, "shit! We are going to sabatoge Obama, we need to do something!"
That being said, too little too late, and their decisions won't impact the rest of the Olbermans, and Matthews strung through out the liberal media. The American people will make the right choice when push comes to shove.
As for Olberman, who the hell thinks that a degree in communications makes you qualified to comment on sports, or real news for that matter! This guy is like a real life cartoon!

Yeah, apparently he said something at the RNC to the effect of that the 9/11 tributes were actually exploitative. Also, when palin spoke, he said she was good, if you like that sort of thing. Also, when she was announced as VP candidate he asked how many houses she brought to the ticket. Personally, i find this sad, i liked him, found him very amusing, i loved how he critisized Billo's hypocrisy. Let's see the ratings drop like a fat sack of..

I watch Fox and other news media such as CNN, MSNBC, CSPAN and the like to try to piece together the truth from the crap... all of them spout trash, some more than others.
I think he got what he had coming to him.

Hey, Olber-man! It's Over-man!
I watch FOX and most of the time i see decent and fair coverage but the worst is Fox and Friends in the morning haha.
All 3 of the hosts are squeaky clean-leave it to beaver-ish. It's horrible haha. But I still prefer it to the other news outlets.

I've heard a good comparison to the high ratings of Fox news; it's synonymous with the amount of people served at Mcdonald's, meaning, more isn't always better. I won't defend Olbermann, he was probably too biased for a news anchor, who's supposed to be objective. Though i don't think Billo is very objective..

Mr.O'Reilly is anything but objective haha. But at least when people watch him they know his show isn't supposed to be deep and objective.

I think Olberman is hilarious. He is the mocking voice of reason to the irrational politics and politicians he covers.
