Roads are never paid for, they require upkeep. Just because tax dollars funded their construction dosent mean shit. Roads are not a one time capital expenditure. The cost of upkeep is very high, where would you have this money come from? Where should funds for roads come from in general? Tolls seem the fairest way to me. Even taxes on gasoline are BS because i put gas in my lawnmower.
