    Big or small pot

Hello peopl, finally getting another grow started next week. I will be growing one auto ak47 in my cudboard (op is small but these are conditions of the lady of the house) so i was gonna start it in a 3 inch peat pot then transplant into a 3gal pot but i wonder if i should just plant straight into the 3gal? i will be using as many 20w cfl as i can get for lighting.

Start in the small pot, then go into a ~6" pot and then to a 1 gal.
Transplanting is an important part of growing. If you start in the big pot, you'll STILL end up rootbound- the roots will get too large too fast.

Cheers stinky, i was thinking it could go from the peat pot straight to the 3gal as this being a lowryder cross they don't live long and ive had lr's finish niceley in 6 inch pots. Maybe best goin 3 inch, 6 inch then 3gal? Anyway cheers again

With a lowryder, you may not even NEED a 3 gallon- so I'd still do a more gradual transplant schedule- you may very well end up finishing in a 1 gallon pot.

Just because you have a 3gl pot doesn't mean you have to use the whole 3 gl of the pot. You can fill it half or 2/3 of the way and cut the pot down or you can leave it and if they need to be transplanted pop them out, fill in the bottom and place them right on top of the new soil.
