I'd also agree the journalist got off pretty easy considerin how they usually "light up" a vehicle going through a checkpoint. (don't forget how many people in the army have gone public with "checkpoint" massacre stories...and as of yet not one suicide bomber caught or even "attacking checkpoints", but id shoot first and ask questions later at a speeding car too, ya never know...this is all according to army officials too, not just me. PH actually has the links to the stories). But as I said I'd fire first too, when it comes down to danger instinct does tend to take over, Fight or Flight after all...
