Palin inhaled, but still wants to jail you for inhaling
I understand what you're saying, and I never said I disagreed with you. I told you how it is. How it currently exists and the way our government is setup does not allow for everyone to be able to have direct input on every piece of legislation. I know exactly what you're talking about, this topic happened to be about marijuana and sarah palin, you used her name to underline your point and I corrected the way you thought our government should be.

So yes, they do make decisions for us.. that is their job and so in some weird twisted sense it is right.. bleh.
I know you are trying to say that it's not right that it's majority rule, but typically that's how our government work because it's a republic; which was my point.
I'm sorry if any of my posts offended you. I felt I wrote them from a neutral standpoint.

Thank you. I appreciate you writing that. I was definitely not offended. I just didn't want any type of confusion regarding that choice of analogy. I'm very glad that I was able to at least clarify that particular piece. To be honest, it is extremely difficult to truly digest that people can be objective and remove themselves from a certain argument. As much as you or I claim a completely open mind... it never seems to really sink in. It's messed up because if we knew each other... it would be much easier to understand where the other person was coming from. I think that's why I'm finding it hard to participate in these types of debates. I feel that I am really out there in terms of thinking, so I'm never really basing it around the way things are... but fundamentally how they "should" be (as if I even know yeeesh). I don't know... you get wrapped up in physics or existentialism for long periods of time and it makes it that much harder to think about reality.
But... don't want to sidetrack. I'm glad we could find common ground. And without any mods. Haha I'm just kidding. It wasn't like that at all  I just hate seeing good threads get locked because of misunderstandings.
Edit: Just noticed you like Ron Paul. Haha go figure.
