daddy is getting old and so is his thinking, and at some point he wont be able to provide us (signs: SS failing, if we get into WWIII, our tax system running jobs off shore, welfare failing its real goals, etc)
This is a major problem in our country.
People think their government is supposed to "provide" them with things.
The only things those great dead men of old provided when they wrote our constitution were security of the nation as a whole (and we were really individually responsible for this also) and the freedom to live our live the way we wished. Nothing else.
You want Daddy Gov't to take care of you, he is going to dictate how you will act, just like daddy at home does(if your daddy is home).
And that would be fine with me, but when half the country wants daddy gov't to take care of them, I lose my freedom because they make rules that are applied to everybody, not just the people sucking on the tit.
