Obama: What qualifies him to be the President?

What I think is going to happen is that the two campaigns are going to go to battle about "what the election is about," just like what is happening in these threads.

If it is about "experience" McCain wins.

If it is about "issues" Obama wins.

I think it is about issues. People are dissatisfied with the direction of the country, and to me that means they are concerned about issues. And that is why I think Obama will take it.

sorry for multiple posts, it aint my fault there is a 10 min limit, these are things i must think about even after i write n post to make sure im being clear

I think what 8182KSKUSH's avatar says is sadly kinda true:

the stupid question is: why are we here in this mess we all know we are stuck in?

and the answer is in our history n i just mentioned it in my post, cuz we the people have failed to let our politicians hear our real voice

they are the controlling daddy and we are the children, when dad says "its settled! we either cheer and support or if we oppose we can never talk back to him"

regardless if he has made a mistake in judgment or decision making, we are all to pay the price! but at least at some point we the children who are being taken care of should become adults, a nation that can speak for itself in clear terms and reject our inflated government and our meddling foreign policies. till when we wanna live free n happy without taking charge... daddy is getting old and so is his thinking, and at some point he wont be able to provide us (signs: SS failing, if we get into WWIII, our tax system running jobs off shore, welfare failing its real goals, etc)

an old Persian saying has it

"Masses deserve exactly what they got" aka the shit they are in.

    and another idiom says

    "One good turn deserves another"

same applies to "bad turns" and thats for u to decide whats good or bad. to me re-election of bush was bad and fake reasons given for war we are stuck in now were really bad.

I'm not here to change your mind, but rather make my point clear!

You think this is a long thread check out some of the numbers on the Sarah Palin threads.

I do not think I could get anymore disgusted with my choices this time around!

This is a major problem in our country.
People think their government is supposed to "provide" them with things.
The only things those great dead men of old provided when they wrote our constitution were security of the nation as a whole (and we were really individually responsible for this also) and the freedom to live our live the way we wished. Nothing else.
You want Daddy Gov't to take care of you, he is going to dictate how you will act, just like daddy at home does(if your daddy is home).
And that would be fine with me, but when half the country wants daddy gov't to take care of them, I lose my freedom because they make rules that are applied to everybody, not just the people sucking on the tit.
