Healthy flowerd stem in water 2 weeks Reveg
Stalk that is about 3/8 dia and has mutiple branches all flowering with smokeable bud," worse case senario". I would call it a plant but it has no roots, I have no leggs, I have no legs, intresting just because you have no leggs your still a person, does the same apply to the plant. I'm sorry getting side tracked. This thing is pretty big proably 2 1/2 feet. It has been living in a closet in a 2 liter coke bottle filled with water changed daily with anti fung with lights for 12 days surprisingly it still looks healthy. I have been hoping she will sprout roots possible or not? Would I have better luck taking cuttings from her. Ideally I would like to get them roots going put her outside tied well and botabingbotaboom, which I think would be impossible I don't think the roots could ever catch the rest of the plant and supply the plant with enough nutes right. What about high doses of Potassium, what else could I give her. I understand this may be next to impossible but if it could, how would you start, Any thoughts suggestions, Will post pictures soon

10 days with 2 liter bottle not covered meaning light could get to the roots. 2 days with bottle coverd with a blanket. I just remembered reading that the roots in hydro needed to be kept from the light, so should I cut the stalk again since the roots should be covered. I put rootone on the stalk every time a change the water, not sure how much it does since it goes directly back into the water.

Any Ideas it is still drinking water and is starting to show signs of new growth. Do you think If I put a 5 gallon bucket out side and basically made it hydro it would continue to grow. Intresting.

A stem can not uptake/process nutrients. Just like putting a dozen roses in water, it will keep them hydrated, but will not continue growth. Personally...I would pluck-off and process the buds, then throw away the stick.

Thanks Its been 15 days and it still looks as healthy as it ever has. I would honestly like to give it a try, what would be the best plan of attack.
Thanks

I'll try with you just to see what happens. Chances are though that eventually it will all fall behind. How far into flower is it? How long do we have to keep it alive until it's finished?
Anyways cloning off it and revegging the clones is going to be tough anyways and you'd be better off to start new. With the size of the plant it's probably growing using what it has stored in the plant and you will gradually see is start to yellow once those reserves are gone. Do you have and airstone or a pump of any sort that can bubble inside the bottle? If you to I'd try to get it in there to make sure the water is always full of oxygen.
As for caring for the "root" I would take a razor and make veriticle cuts about an inch and a half up the stalk to the bottom tip, just deep enough to put a scour through the bark. Put a rooting horomone on it for the first 2 days then no more. Rooting horomones don't actually promote roots they promote blank cells inessence like our stem cells, once the cell is blank it will adapt to do the job closest to it(in your case process water into the plant and eventually grow into roots if we make it that far), however if you always reapply it the cells will always stay blank and never adapt because that's what you are telling them to do.
Don't expect to grow roots it will never happen before harvest, our goal is to keep this plant alive till harvest or close to it, nothing else, no clones, no revegging.

5 weeks 3 days I think. It has been in the closet under 24 hr lights with water changed daily. for 15-16 days. I can tell that the plant is drinking water. Should I put any dyna grow in the water like an 1/8 of the recommended dosage. Or use the dyna bloom. I would like to get it to grow roots and keep it for next season, or what ever you think. Thanks alot for the post I was getting ready to give up on this thread. My ultimate goal is to be able to take a cutting of the plant right before I harvest so I can get a head start for the next season. So please advise. I have searched alot on reveg but everything is bringing a rooted plant back, I'm throwing an even bigger wrench in the mix, a cutting to root and bring back. I would assume that this has been tried by seasoned growers, and they just give up, or all that work and it goes hermi. I am willing to give it a shot and would love some help along the way. so thanks Chronic Chrissy
