When your options are limited, any homegrown can be passed off as anything to people that don't know any better. In Kansas, people would grow out bag seed, even mediocre grows there look like the best weed ever, (compared to Mexican brick weed) and most don't know the difference, so the cough up the money for the kind bud!
Maybe it is SD, and the grower just didn't max out it's potential, maybe they were misinformed? Really hard to tell. Maybe you got taken advantage of? Maybe it doesn't matter what any of us think, if you think it was good, and worth the money, then kudos for you. I wouldn't even smoke that. My first grow looked better than that, and I refused to smoke it, I ended up giving most of it away for free, and turning the rest into QWISO.

Here is a pic from my personal stash of a sample of sour d that I had, it was decent. Not the best sour d I have ever had, but very good nonetheless. No choice High Times Nugs Cover Photo or anything. But even this batch as Stinky said, "Dense and Trich covered". But if you put the pics side by side, there is a stark contrast. This sour d was donated to me by a collective owner as a welcoming gift from his personal collection when I moved to California, along with a couple of pounds of another 20ish strains! But enough about me winning the cannabis lottery, here you go.
