God, I wish I could smoke!!!

I started this new job where a cdl is required and I get random drug test on the spot. I will come in some mornings and a nurse will be waiting for the random people picked that day to blow in a breathalizer and to pee in a cup. I love smoking and wish my work wasn't intruding my personal life. I know they have fake urine, but filling it with water and then heating it up before a random drug test, well they don't give you time for that. Basically if your picked you sit in a room supervised tell you can piss, and I don't feel like wearing that fake penis to work everyday. I forgot what it's called. I think the wizzernater or something. Anyways, I guess I'm just ranting on. I guess I'm just fresh out of luck. I think about marijuana everyday. This sucks...

man that sucks. From what your describing it sounds like you have a job in your field already and this isn't just a stupid retail job or something. If it really bothers you that badly I would seriously reconsider finding a new job. I mean life is waaay too short to be miserable like that. I can understand drug test once a month or year or something but this is just rediculous. I'm kind of in the same boat as you but you know what the difference is? I know that one day I will be free to smoke and that is the only thing that keeps me motivated. If I knew it would be another 20 years or so before I could smoke again I would just give up and figure out a new solution. Its all good though. I'm sure you'll figure something out.

thank you flyingimam and dream of the iris... you gave me some hope, and yes i do have a plan and hopfully in a year I will be in a new job being able to do what i want in my own personal life. thank you honestly for the support, it helps me keep going. Soon I will be free of these stupid rules and be able to control my own life. its not that there's a differents turnybright, but people smoke weed for different reasons. Anxciety, medical, relaxation, many different reasons,, every one's different, and yes i would make the same decisions high as i would sober, but smoking keeps me balanced and on track and people taking that away from me, honestly sucks and is irratating. I dont need weed... I want it,(for personal reasons) it helps me.

i have not smoked in about a year n a half... so im sure i can go on for another 2 years since i have come along till now

who knows, maybe, just maybe with a pinch of optimism, the two bills in house and subsequently congress get to somewhere... i mean, thats the biggest chance we have

i donno why, my senses, call it my 6th sense, spider sense, whatever u name it, tells me that these 2 bills will achieve something positive this time around... maybe im just too optimistic about it, i donno, but thats how i feel and hope things to turn out!:rasta:

hang in there bro. i know how you feel. try being sober 2 1/2 years. well not sober. i made that sound like i'm a meth addict. no smoke in 2 1/2 years. i work on a drilling rig and make mad money. my wife tells me not to but i almost want to break the rules and the only thing that stops is the thought of losing it all. my house my cars my wife and most importantly MY SON. its not worth it. do like me. do something legal. drink more like i do. it sounds horrible and it is. But when you have an addictive personality you switch to the legal stuff.

basically what i'm saying is hang in there. donate to the cause. wait till the day when it's legal. some people say it will never happen but it will. i know it will. prohibition AGAINST marijuana will not work. many years gone by and eventually they'll[gov't] get the point.
