Hi y'all! I'm Laura, originally from Georgia, but currently residing in North Carolina. In NC, cannabis is decriminalized, but not legalized for medicinal purposes. I have extremely severe fibromyalgia and cannabis is all that helps a lot of the pain. I don't like having to break the law, even though they are not strict and very rarely enforced here in NC.

But my family and I were wondering, if we flew me out to Cali to get a medical MJ card and then came back to NC, would I still be covered legally? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am desperate for help and legal, quality pain relief. The cannabis I come across is sometimes dank, but usually not good enough to be used for my medicinal purposes. Would it be possible to go to Cali (I have a friend in Beverly Hills I can stay with), obtain a medical marijuana card while there, then fly back to NC & have it honored here? Do other states respect the medical marijuana cards of other states? Or could I still be arrested by NC police for possessing and/or growing if I had a Cali medical MJ card? Any help y'all could offer on this situation would be wonderful. Thanks so much!
Cheers,
Laura K.
