Sounds strange to me but the coroners seems to have stated that the cause of death actually was cannabis poisoning. The DIRECT cause of death. I think that is questionable out of pure statistic reasons but no matter what that is not good for us since a doctor wrote the report and you can be damn sure this report will pop up here and there in the medias when legalisation is discussed.

The inquest heard that Mr Maisey had complained of a headache on August 22 last year. The next morning he was found dead at the house he shared with friend Jeffrey Saunders in Summerhill, Pembrokeshire.

Michael Howells, the Pembrokeshire coroner, said Mr Maisey was free from disease and had not drunk for at least 48 hours. Autopsy tests showed a high level of cannabinoids in his blood. He recorded a verdict of death by misadventure because Mr Maisey had died while taking part in an illegal activity.

The article is from 2004 and it was a month before the reclassification of Cannabis to a lower schedule in england. It seems like it was a move to scare people into preventing that change. They are still trying to use crazy propaganda now to get it back to where it was when this article was written. It was, after all, a study done in england this year that tried to say Cannabis was making people psychotic. Another scare tactic to encourage people to accept the reclassification back to the higher schedule. I'm sure the US government is behind it. Makes them look bad that their good buddies the brits are changing their minds with out permission. Same old same old.

if this was in fact confirmed, it would become the 1st direct death resulted from THC poisoning and it would make lots of buzz at the time

u can die of any poisoning, even pure water poisoning... anything taken in excess amounts can poison ur body! ur liver and digestive system fail under pressure of excessive amounts of chemicals processed and in case of water poisoning:

I found it when I was browsing around UK south west newspapers for the insane amount of grow op shut downs the cops have done there.

Did'nt know anything more than what I read and thought someone else would.
Thing is what I read in some canadian text from some professor or something was that to actually get THC poisoning to a fatal level you would have to smoke about 3 pounds of medium grade MJ in about 12 hours.
To do that I think you would have to smoke so much and so fast that you would die of suffication before the THC and certainly be out cold way prior to being able to get a 3rd of the leathal dose.
