    First Hydro-W/F White Widow

Ok, this is my first hydro. Ive grown soil before.. few years ago, but hydro just looks like so much fun. It took me a couple tries to get a good seedling started and I finally broke down and stuck one in a Rapid Rooter. It started out a little slow, but everything has been going great so far. I cracked the seed in a cup of water and then put it in the rooter. The sprout emerged on 8/18 and was transplanted into the W/F from the bubbler on 8/25 then I started the seedling feed with the GH 3 part on 8/29 + a little LK the next day.

Id like you to meet Josie, a feminized White Widow that I so desperately hope will put an end to a year long drought of meds.

Here is a pic of the cab, Josie day 13, and day 15

Humidity is around 35%(trying to raise it a little with some water sitting in a cut off 2 liter)
    Temps 75-84
    She's had 1 18/6 cycle at this point under 8 26w cfl's.

Questions, comments, guidance all are welcomed and desired.

    Hey and welcome.

If you wanna raise humidity a bit more hang a towel or a cloth of some sort in the water and then let that fan of yours blow on it as it sucks up water. Works quite well.

What lights are you planning to use later on? Stack more cfl's or something bigger?
I am always glad to see new grows here and especially WW's. Feel free to drop in on my WW log if you want and whatever I can help out with just ask.
    Good luck m8.

    Thanks for the welcome!

Im still trying to decide what light Im going to use later on for flower. I know Im going to use HPS, but Im undecided on whether or not to incorporate 2 70watt hps lamps I already have with the 8 cfl's, or buy a 250-300 watt stand alone hps.

Thats a great idea with the towel idea, wicking the water to a larger surface area to evaporate from. Im gonna do that tonight.

Will be checkin your grow out in a few.

Am I correct in thinking that its time to up the nutes when the ppm starts dropping? Or are you supposed to push them until the ppm starts to raise from where you set it as the plant is using more water than nutes? Im trying to decide how soon I can start upping the nutes.

Josie is showing her first set of 5 point leaves so I think I am going to fim the next new growth. Any objections?

I just bought the "hardware" kit for like 10 bucks then put it on some buckets I bought elsewhere. Ill give you 2 guesses where the orange one came from hehe. I drilled a shit load of 3/8" holes in the black bucket as per xcrispi's recommendations because the few tiny holes that come with the farm buckets easily get clogged by the mass of roots. I think i really should have painted the res bucket to keep the light out completely. Been trying to avoid the duct tape mummification method.

I decided to go ahead with the fim today about 4 hours short of lights out. I figured it may be a good idea for her to get started on the healing process right away, but then get a break to help deal with the stress and be fresh to go back to work the next morning. I plan on taking daily close ups of the fimmed reaction for those of you that are interested along with an overall pic. I really wish I could do a time lapse of an extreme close up. Maybe I can figure something out for the next grow.

Looks like a nicelly done FIM.
Don't worry about the stress they will normally be stunned a day or two thats it. These are resilient plants.
That plant will give you 4-6 nice colas I'm sure.
