Aerogarden?

My buddy just planted at his apartment using only what aerogarden 6 supplied. I will have noticed after 36 hours seeds are just starting to germinate.
I am using the 24 hour light cycle.
I went to home depot and bought nutes there that are 8,4,4(bonnies) i figured better to under than over nurish them.
We have no idea what we are doing but will keep you all posted please add any comments to help out out little buddies

Hi there,

I bought an Aerogarden not to plant the Herbs that came with it. I found that without the light extender you will not be able to keep the plant out of the lights. I tried to bend them over to utilize the light and the stalks were so fragile that they broke. I was pissed. so i would not recomend this unless you want to spring for the light extender. Also the light is not strong enough to support more than one plant.

they might be ok to start a plant at, but they are much too small to grow a full plant. for the money i dont think they are very good. my roommates gf had one we tried to grow in, but too small so we returned it.

the aerogarden he got light extends so as the plants grow u are ok. how do i prune them once they sprout to keep small and bushy

Yes its good for starting but a paper towl in a baggie is cheaper!!!

hightimes did an article on the aerogarden and they produced buds with it. they said that they could only acheive this with clones and they kept the plant really short. meaning that they hit it with 12/12 from start

today three days after planting the seeds have germinated and one pod has sprouted up. it appears the other 5 are just behind it by maybe one day.
i guess when they all sprout and look like flowers he will change the light cycle to 18/6

They won't all 'look like flowers'. Cannabis, being dioecious, doesn't produxe structures that look like what you would recognize as a 'flower'; that is, having petals surrounding male and female sex parts borne on the same plant.

Try plants grown for their leaves, such as basil and cilantro, or a dwarf 'patio tomato', to use the AG most effectively. It's too small for pot.

Why dont u just get an aerospring, they are inexpensive and great for growing hydro, I actually find it funny watching people try to build their own when u can spend a couple hundred bucks, and get an aerospring, pump, light nutrients, gro cups, grow rocks, and everything all in one package.
