    anybody worrying about hurricane gustav?

so anyone in its path? I live on the gulf coast of MS so everyone down here is freaking out because of what happened with Katrina. I mean it's been three years exactly as of august 29, which was two days ago and you are just now seeing progress with buildings being rebuilt and what not. I personally do not think ms will get too much damage, it looks like its heading west of louisiana, probably. I think it will hit somewhere between texas and louisiana but as we all know, hurricanes arent the most predictable things. Roads are jam packed with people fleeing from new orleans. I was contemplating leaving for a friends house about 3 hours away which should be a safe distance but with all the traffic they are predicting that it will take at least 6 hours to reach my destination. Its pretty ridiculous, hope everyone else is safe though.

nice dude, im in long beach which is like 5 minutes away from gulfport. Just came from there earlier actually. The locals are definitely freaking, everyones stocking up. gas prices have gone up 30-40 cents within the last two days, its crazy. Me? I've got my supplies, just picked up a half of some fire and a pack of rellos. I'm all set to ride this storm out in leisure lol

gustav is going to be a monster when reaching land... and if it hits a heavily populated area will cause lots of problems

in htown, I have not seen people freak out cuz of it yet, but gas prices have been bumped a few cents in just the weekend but last time i went to a grocery store all shelves were full as usual

i just hope it hits some swampland so we can get over with it, with the minimum possible damage whether in property or life... it will be a cat 3 or even a 4 by landfall

    lol, family guy, ftw.

It's pretty windy and rainy outside right now. I think the worst of it was about an hour ago. No damage here, just a bunch of debris in the yard. I haven't had the news on much so I don't know how louisiana is since they actually got the worst of it. I think the eye just hit land about an hour and a half ago. The power has flickered on and off a few times and I heard some transformers explode but they must be further down the road because we still have power. We were pretty lucky i guess, its just a real nasty storm outside but it i'll be over soon. I guess today will be a good day to catch up on some reading and get FUCKING STONEDDDD, woohoo lol, shit now that i think about it, every day is a good day for that.

Full house of evacuess... 17 are here but we have 2 hotel rooms so that helps. We have been calling family living right outside New Orleans and everything seems to be going alright. Some trees down and heavy rain and winds but not the storm surge they predicted (yet). Still to early to tell though but so far so good...

I live in New Orleans, currently in Birmingham, Al staying with family. I'm damn sure worried about it, although I'm trying to stay optimistic, and the area I live in doesn't usually get too much flooding.
