The entire pipeline is not above ground, high enough for a bear to walk on. Most likely they are walking on the heated parts that had to be re-done, when the oil wouldn't move through the icelands! That whole pipeline needs replaced!

I am from Kansas, spent 27 years there.
I can't even imagine how many fence lines there are throughout that state. Yes, animals get hung up in them. Some predatory birds even hang dead animals on them for fun. (No shit, this is absolutely true).
Animals also get hit by cars.
I don't doubt for a second that these things happen everywhere, including in AK.
I do doubt that there has been any sort of ecological disaster there due to the pipeline.:wtf:
