Palin went straight from being a mayor of a town with 9000 people to being governor. Palin has been governor since 2007, Obama has been senator since 2005. The 143 days thing only counts the days the senate is in session. But during the off-time the senators do other stuff like diplomatic trips and drafting legislation, so saying those 143 days are the only time he's been working is incredibly unrealistic.

On an unrelated note, Wasilla, Alaska is right near the Matanuska Valley, home of the infamous Matanuska Thunderfuck. I know that now that I said that, someone will vote for her just for that, but I still thought it was interesting. :jointsmile:

But, this would continue to take our country backwards and take away more of our rights! I cannot believe in the past several years that abortion would even be an issue. I do know a guy that pays a few thousand dollars a month because he got loaded and his dad's caretaker did also! They then had a one night stand and boom! Hit with child support. He wanted divorce. Are you kidding me??? This is one of the most ridiculous statements I have heard. She has a ton of Environmental Experience and is an Avid wildlife enthusiast. If theres any argument against her man the ENVIRONMENTAL one is one that she cant be attacked over.

Wrong.

She has a very bad environmental record. She opposed a ballot initiative to prohibit metal processing companies from polluting rivers that support salmon. She supports drilling in ANWAR (which even McCain does not support) and offshore drilling (which McCain has recently flip-flopped to support). She denies global warming, even though her own state will be one of the first to suffer and is already losing whole villages as they sink into the mud when the permafrost thaws. She opposes listing polar bears as threatened.

She can easily be attacked on her environemntal record.
