I am never hassled. I take off my shoes.. show them my laptop.. and I'm on my way.

this is the normal procedure for all passengers. those flagged must go to a different area/room for security check not cavity search!!!!
its just that u gotta wait n wait and they keep asking u same questions over n over every time... u know its pretty annoying if u r flying on regular basis
im sure u can imagine how it feels, any1 can imagine! if u have been sitting for a delayed flight, u know how time goes 3x slower in airports!

I personally know 2 US citizens of mideastern decent who are successful business owners (ironically both hardcore rightists) who just go thru this every single time they fly!

at first they would say this is the price to pay...
last time i checked, the guy was like idk why no1 ever revises this list or somehow make it work more efficient

so on that basis and on basis of what u hear in media, i would assume this happens on daily basis but probably not "too many" people have an issue

however whats "too many" relative to 300 million general pop? 1 mil? 3 mil? or 100k?

still fundamentally i find this process to be inefficient, ok safety is at risk we should do something about it, but come on, there must be a way to improve this messy system after some 7 odd years!

This I can agree with. It seems as though there would be a more efficient means to implement the security changes after 9/11.
