How can I message members directly??

I just wanted to through it out there and ask if there was any way to message members directly... or just posting a thread and hoping the person u are looking for will reply? or does it have to do with the number of posts... like attaching jpegs to the message instead of links...

You're not allowed to send PM's for the safety of our members. They can easily be abused with the whole "hook-up" aspect, which is something we definitely don't condone here.

And we ask you to refrain from making those type of threads you described. If you want to contact a member, there is always various forms of instant messangers that can be found in a member's profile.

Since the whole point of this site is to help people learn about Cannabis... it's going to do nobody any good if people start asking each other questions and communicating in private messages. People need those little bits of info that, in a PM, will only benefit two. If asking another user Cannabis related questions is not the intention of a message, then it's probably not really appropriate here anyway :jointsmile: Like it says, they don't really want this to be for off-topic social purposes. Besides... whatchu got secrets? Why do you need so much privacy? Haha We're all friends here :hippy:

And that should say it for once and for all, the PM question seems to crop up too often.
It is very simple to understand, it's not allowed we even have a sticky to that effect.
If like myself people do not have contact details in their profile it is for the reason they don't want to receive PM's how much simpler can it be.
It is all right saying we are all adults,sensible etc but in the last few weeks with the loss of a useful messaging system that has proved not to be the case there will always be some idiots who abuse the privileges therefore making the site unpleasant for the rest of us and ultimately endangering the integrity of the site.
We need the the subject of PM's put to bed once and for all, maybe another sticky in big bold letters stating its not allowed, end of discussion.
