    New co-op

    HI! I have been trying to open a co-op for a few months now.. I know that a Conditional use permit is required and also a visit to the board of equalization. But what else is needed and how is their shops opening in city's that have a moratorium on them... Thanks!!

    If they aren't working with the city, and operating against already established ordinances, then they are putting a giant target on their backs. Even if they can beat the city legally in court, the city will eventually call in the DEA to get them out, as happened in Corona. HNC, beat the city in court, continued to operate, all the while the city was working hand in hand with the DEA and eventually got them raided and closed. Best of luck to them, they are going to need it.
