...I dump out the bong after use so it sits there dry, and doesn't get nastier. It also goes through the dishwasher often.

really? It doesnt leave a dirty bong smell in the dishwasher? or over other dishes? thats neat for us lazy people!

LOL, drink the water from the dishwasher or the bong. I think we've all had bong water in our mouth once. And it only took once to never do it again! but good call

If I wanted dishes that smelt like a dirty bong I would put it in the dishwasher . Nothing cuts through bong dirt like Isopropyl Alcohol and Sea Salt.

just an idea: not all bongs are dishwasher safe, dishwasher water can get really hot, and many bongs are works of hand, not certified Pyrex

also depending on size of the bong and design of your dishwasher, the rotating blades may break your bong or screw up your dishwasher

but using the right dishwashing liquid/powder, i doubt u will have a problem with smell.

again generally speaking design of a bong is a in a way thats best cleaned by hand and using a long bottle brush or something similar

I would most likely not put a bong in a dishwasher. If you change the water often enough they never get that gross.
