The could have ended with Clinton tonight. He pretty much passed his torch, not the Clinton's though. It was very good, but not the Clinton for Hillary enthusiam! I felt he was the highlight of the day! After Hillary gave him the nomination. Hope you get a chance to see his speech.
Obama should have appeared after that speech to be seen with Clinton, with Hillary yesterday, as well! I think the visual would have united that party! It needs it! If they finished the vote, would Edwards delegates have voted Hillary, etc. We may not know the true winner. What we do know, is this will be a very tight race and hopefully, it won't come down to a chad!
I did feel the momentum pick up a bit through Clinton tonight and then it seemed to go South! I hated hearing Biden talk about "John and I" it sounded like they were running and not he and Obama. If he had more Obama and I stories, may have helped and increased interest!
I will have to Wiki Biden and learn a lot more about the dude. All I can think is "Good Ole Boys Club" and if Obama takes advice from him, I question it! I will be sure of that, after I learn about him! Is his wife a divorcee' or widow? Just curious. Need to look up that crap too! It all matters to me. I read Natinonal Enquirer one in awhile also--think it is like taking a good enema once in awhile!!! lol
I have not seen one entire speech of BO's either, so that will be an event. In the
60's it was so nice, they came to our college's, or one in town and all of us marched to the other to hear them speak! It was fun then, lighter times (higher anyway). I have no clue, but I have heard a entire speech of all the other contenders! Wierd!!! He has no experience and that may be intentional, U think?
Sorry you had to work, I'd be curious, what you do, but understand, not all want to tell! I may get very secretive when my gro gets going and I log it!
Politics have interested me since JFK ran. This is a good year to be taking Political Science in college (I was when RFK ran) it makes the class so much fun, gets you involved in the process, etc. I envy the students.
All the more reason to be here. Hope we have a Poly Sci Prof. drop in!
I think the music is what is making it boring for me. In the past Choreography had a lot to do with the mood and spirit of people at the convention--get excited so much.
I recall, my last excitement was Obama when he spoke in 2004! I was uplifted and heard the whole speech! They really haven't pulled a smoking gun like that out and that is a shame!
The Montana Gov. was interesting, in that, MT has been a Bush state and hard republican for a long time. After Iraq and Bush wanting to drill for oil in MT, the wealthiest rancher and Bush supported told GW publicly that he would turn MT democrat and against him. He was attributed to getting GW elected in the Rancher states. So, he has been doing what he promised, going Demo!!!
I expect tomorrow will be the most exciting of the event. I miss all the balloons and excitement in the crowds!!! Plus, all the celebs that usually attend! It ain't all politics to me, it includes the entertainment value!! duhh!! pr :hippy:
