When Will My Curing Buds Start To Smell Good?
i cut down my plant after 65 days flowering, dried upside down in a dark room for 8 days, have been curing in a glass jar with a rubber seal for 4 days so far and still the aroma has not changed much. The smell isnt very good, kinda musty. Dosnt smell like buds ive smoked before. Im clinging to the hope that with long term slow curing and opening my jar once a day for 15-20 minutes the smell will be more to my liking. what do u think will happen with them?

Don't compare the smell of the smoke of what you buy, to the smoke of what you grow.
I was shocked at the difference.

After drying my buds upside down for a week or so I put them into paper grocery bags, where I left them for an additional week. Every so often, I would shake the bag a little to arouse the aroma. Id say 2 or 3 times a day. Using the paper bag helps absorbe some of the moisture. After a week or so of the paper bag I put them into air-tight mason jars doing as you do with yours. Opening the jars for about 15-20 mins 3 times a day.
The result...... Bud that I have never experienced before. The aroma and taste were bliss.
Good Luck,

put DRY buds in glass. it will change flavor in a month, better in two months.
If you put damp bud in glass you may get really bad smoke from mold (very easy to do) so, err on the dry side. My last grow was dried to a friggin crisp but I put a fresh mint leave into each jar for two days and removed it. Righteous!
I also do as previous guy, hang dry then paper bags then glass.

oh ya, after a couple weeks, tops, you just leave the jars shut and let them cure.
