The Land of Oz.
High Guys,I was a bit depressed when I started this thread.I had just spent 4 hours arguing on an Oz TV network forum about a show they had aired ealier in the evening. It was the usual reefer madness crap,in this case it really was, this show 4Corners on OZ TV Network ABC is usually very balanced in its in depth investigations, however they resorted to reefer insanity ,literally, they paraded out a couple of alleged drug experts who claimed ,you ready for this wank, that they knew,or in the words of one BS artist ,a gut feeling(the wanker really used these words)that cannabis causes mental illness, not one scrap of scientific proof, yet these alleged experts claimed it was proven and that it was Addictive,They also trotted out 2 case studies to prove there point however they both stated they hadn't used cannabis in several years when they had their "psychotic episode" and were diagnosed, one was bi-polar,can't remember what the other one "had",both also admitted other drug use eg speed and xtc,
so they get a mental condition and because they used cannabis years before as teenagers ,therefore the cannabis induced it,that was their logic,no matter you could have said the same about alcohol or tobacco or a plethora of prescription drugs, what a sad joke,I must say I enjoyed letting both barrells go on these wankers. They posted some of my colourful descriptions of them and there "science" ,like I said there "Pseudo-science had a factual equivallancy of that of Eugenics(nazi pseudo-science used to justify persecution of jews) also "you are liars guilty of scientific fraud" ,"journalistic scraping of the bottom of the barrel" ,"anecdotes were are your facts","were are the Peer Reviews of your clinical studies, and were are they published",even after the total slag off I gave them,SILENCE from them, they only answered people who agreed with there "faith based pseudo-science"
They were caught out ,absolutely, the ratio (a guess) would have been around 55-60 % believing this CRAP,40-45 % questioning the science, but not till a whole bunch of postings(fairly early on) questioned why the postings were only affirming the shows position, after that much more balance was evident.
I'm in Australia,I have been using cannabis for 36 years, daily for 32 years, the lungs aren't the best although every time I show concern on a doctors visit they say there fine? go figure cause they often feel like crap, other than the stuffed lung issue I feel I have suffered NO DELETERIOUS EFFECTS FROM MY CANNABIS CONSUMPTION.,I plan on giving up "smoking" by my 50th birthday,a couple (at least) of years away yet,but note I said smoking, there are other means of imbibing which is the plan .HIEROPHANT Reviewed by HIEROPHANT on . The Land of Oz. Hello the blood is rushing to my head as I'm upsidedown ,no seriously "meh". Any reeeaaallly long term Cannabis users here or are you all newbies?(less than 10 years)Any old timers feeling frustrated from fighting the good fight to long? Do you find it an outrage that you are a criminal in the eyes of the law? Does it seem incredible that after 40 years of cannabis law reform agitation that cannabis is still illegal? Its simply not about getting stoned its got to be illegal for less Rating: 5\"The more you can increase fear of drugs and crime, welfare mothers, immigrants and aliens, the more you control all the people.\"
