400w Hps Or 600w Heat?

Hello I have a question about a 400w vs a 600w hps I am doing a small closet grow About 2x3 I know a 400w would be good but I was wondering how much Hotter a 600w is then a 400w I am going to exaust the heat But if a 600w isnt that much Hotter I heard it is Better bang for the buck. Thankyou

a 600 is actually the best lumens per watt you can get, and the difference in heat is less than you would expect. I would DEFINITELY get the 600, and an air-cooled hood to go with it.... EXCEPT:
The only thing is that it is a big light for your space. How TALL is your space? Will you have room to set up the exhaust correctly? Do you have another space that you could use instead, that is 4x4 feet? That's the correct 'footprint' for a 600.

for your space you should be using no more then an air cooled 250 watt. your going to get to hot in your area and may burn your plants. you should at least save a foot between your 400 and your colas. your plants will obviously grow to about 3-4 feet without LST or Super cropping. for 2x3, i would save your dough and buy Homebox S first

I'd actually get the 4x4 footprint homebox- it's a really nice size for a PU grow, and in my experience I've found it's better to go a little too big and grow into the space than get frustrated with too-small gear

Yeah I could go 2x4 I have plenty of room to go up aleast 6ft. I would like to keep it in a closet instead of a grow box. Do you think a 250w is enough for max of 6 plants? Also if i go with a 400w or 600w I am going to exuast the heat underneath my house do you think it will keep it cool enough to stay undetectable to helicopters I do live in Fl? I just dont think they would wast the time and money to bust a 2x4 grow room but whos knows.
