That's actually a very good speech, considering the point of it is to get Christians to act more rationally, stop embracing this holier-than-thou attitude, and not use their religion as much as a reason to oppose laws. Considering he was talking to a group of devout CHRISTIANS, so when he says "you need to embrace Christ", he's talking to them, not you.

All religion is bullshit - it's a con game to get your money. Wars are being fought over it, the world may be destryed, and this idiot says it's good.

Can you imagine what would happen if he said religion was bad? No candidate for any office has enough political capital to pull that off and survive past the next election. Anyway, religion isn't a bad thing overall. The relative peace brought to Europe by Christianity enabled the renaissance and the industrial revolution. Many criminals become productive citizens after finding religion. And faith-based charities are responsible for a lot of the assistance and disaster relief in third-world countries.
