I think Obama will win. I think it is going to be closer than I thought a month ago, but I think he will win.

Even though a lot of us political enthusiasts have been paying close attention all along for almost a year now, much of the public doesn't really tune in to the election until the conventions. After the next two weeks, the camapigns will really start to take off, and I think Obama will pull ahead and take it.

The Republican "brand" is just too damaged after Bush to prevail. The far right base that does the hard work of the campaigns for the Republicans are not behind McCain to the level that he needs. He doesn't have teh enrgized support that wins campaigns. Obama hs plenty of energized support, volunteers and money --- and I think he will take the election.

I voted for Screaming Lord Sutch and The Monster Raving Loony Party every time they had a candidate up for election but I know they have no chance of winning.

Kinda seems like a bunch of pessimists on this poll... I mean, do you really think with the direction the US is headed in that there's going to be another republican in power?... just seems like the number of people wanting change outweighs the number of people who are pig headed and ignorant... or I hope so anyway.

McCain in a close race. Once people begin to look at this in a logic and rational manner enough will realize that Obama would be too risky of an experiment.

UNLESS Bush enter in other war, and convince the nation that this new war is very important to the country, and because of this McCain should be the president to keep this new war going.

I think the republican majority will edge the victory, based on more experiance in foreign policy and the economy. Also, the Christian right will favour McCain and his pro life stance.
