from wikipedia: "Palin served two terms on the Wasilla, Alaska, City Council from 1992 to 1996, was elected mayor of Wasilla in 1996. "
"The 2005 estimate gives it a population of 8,471,[1] although the city website lists the population as 6,715"
"Obama worked as a community organizer and practiced as a civil rights attorney before serving in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004."
yeah, I guess you're right. but come on, serving a city of under 10K, 1400 miles from mainland US doesnt really qualify as top level political office! I believe that a state level senator is. Im not knocking her as a person or politician, Im just saying that its not really presidential qualifications!

i have little faith in the intelligence of the electorate and i'm afraid we're going to be stuck with brak for the next four years. he speaks well and he looks good and he represents a move away from the current state of affairs, that is all the ignorant masses need to hear to vote the loser in. the fact that he is no different than any other political animal is of no consequence, appearances are all that matter. the poor will vote for him out of greed, the rich will vote for him out of guilt, the anti-wars will vote for him even though he really doesn't give a shit about ending any war, the black community will vote for him out of racism, the liberals will vote for him as a merely knee-jerk reaction.....
is that enough to put him in the white house or do you need more?

of course there really isn't much difference between mccain and obama. one is an old white dude, the other is a young black dude. one will tax us back into the stone age, the other will only tax us back into the last century. they will both bring us closer to the totalitarian wet dream of the big government socialists, so what's the point of even bothering to choose.
