    Aeroponic/ambient temp question

I'm aero cloning, And in order to keep my water temps down im using a ac wich typically keeps my rooms temps in veg from about 65-70, So that the cloner res (20 gal) will stay in the low 70's Its the only way ive been able to do this because the pump seems to be overheating my water temp.

My question is recently a fellow grower advised my that my temps for veg are far to low but acording to the MJH grow Bible 65 for air temps is fine, its that the roots should be around 75 but in Aerocloning i could get as low 68 for res temps.

Without the AC the cloner res temps hit 78-79 and everytime ive tried ive had problems with pathogens.Recently Started using hydroguard though and it seems to have helped along with adding some airstones.

So are these air temps to low for cloning? Also whats the min and max temp for the res? I've read and heard all sorts of temps. An owner of a local hydroshop told me 68 is the best. A buddy of mine said he has got roots at 78.
Most of what ive read on here and other forums is low 70's.

My last question is about the cuttings themselves I've read alot of peoples comments saying that they dont scrape away the outside layer of the stem at all when aerocloning. Should you or shouldnt you? Does it matter? Will it affect rooting times?

    Aeroponic/ambient temp question

    Hey Captain

I'm sorry I can't be of much help on this.
    I also use Aero Cloning.
It seems you are way more advanced than I on this topic.
You are cloning in 20gal. I use 2, 1/2gal containers.

I use the Aero Cloning because to me it is fool proof.
All I do is take cuttings, scrape 1 side at base, insert into cloner and wait about a week. Presto 99.732% success rate.
My cloners are at room Temp. and under a 15W flourescent 24/7.

I will be looking at this thread to see if anyone answers your questions.
