Moved to Houston from IOWA! :(
Hey everyone, I just moved from iowa to houston as the title says for graduate school at the U of H. My apartment building is full of squares and my graduate class only has 2 males in it out of 50. Good for dates, bad for meeting anyone half way interesting. I just thought i'd post up here
Id rather not give away much information about myself since the program I am in at school may not accept my lifestyle, but I am in my mid 20's, i live in the inner loop, i am studying for a phd in some scientific field, and love to disk golf.
oh, and I had like a pony tail till "the man" made me cut it!
Houston is just so huge, I am comming from a town of a few thousand. I figured it would be easy to meet people here but now that i'm here, i find its the opposite. Everyone is always on the go, in a hurry, and doesn't even have the time to smoke cig with their neighbor.
till later, peace
EDIT: I have smoked for 10 long years, most of which only my lungs remember.Darwin Reviewed by Darwin on . Darwin...Welcome to c.com and to houston. I also live in this booming metro jungle, and also moved here from a small town to attend the Univ. of H. Sometimes this place can certainly seem overwhelming, though I mostly stick to my 'neck of the woods'. Hope you manage to enjoy your stay there, as there is plenty to see and do...B

welcome
we got some d0pe sh1t in htown, but quite pricey compared to places like oregon.
but all in all the locality u live in, is kinda the best place to find the stuff, it kinda originates from there to suburbs lol, all the good and authentic stuff, that is!
and about ppl being on the go, u must have not seen NYcity then rofl! it was overwhelming for me who is used to houston
good luck
oh and also a word of advice, watch for them popos near downtown area, they are abundant there due to their HQ being right next to reliant stadium and they dont mess around at all! some really dont have anythin to do but to pick on stupidest "violations/crimes"! and the jail is minutes away too! stay safe!Whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship, the people can always B brought 2 the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All U have 2 do is tell them they R being attacked & denounce the pacifists 4 lack of patriotism & exposing the country 2 danger. It works the same way in any country.

Jingoism is defined in the Oxford English Dictionary as \"extreme patriotism in the form of aggressive foreign policy\".
