    Makin' bud pr0n?

Maybe this goes in the hobby section? Grow section? Nose bleed section?

The life cycle of Cannabis is an incredible thing to witness... and sometimes just as satisfying to capture in a photograph. To have a visual reference to compare and learn from, is priceless. Especially nowadays... when there are tons of new methods for creating even more amazing pictures. For people that are not experienced in effective photography techniques, it can be difficult to capture those jaw dropping... awe inspiring photos.

Are there any self proclaimed photography pro's out there that have tips and tricks on how to get those sexy shots that make everyone
    :giggity: :jawdropper: :yippee: :woohoo:

Anything from advice on cameras, lighting, backgrounds, photo manipulation, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Even simple things to help make the average point and shoot/cellphone pic come out clear(er). One of the problems over in the Plant Problems section is that many people have incorrect lighting or focusing in their photos, which makes it really difficult for others to help troubleshoot deficiencies.

    Thanks
    Keep

    Makin' bud pr0n?

I used to be deeply involved with photography(havent been taking many pictures lately..) and theres many many factors that go into making for a good picture. Too many for me to type, but some tips would be
-stay FAR away from cell phone cameras
-if your camera has manual focus, USE IT!! (dont be lazy)
-shoot with film(no disposeable cameras) and print the pictures yourself. take a basic photography class at a local college, they will most likely have everything you will ever need.

I have an Olympus Camedia 5.1. It has a super macro function that can focus in at around 1cm. What light position, and type of background will maximize the shot potential?
    - besides using a tripod. I'll add that tip right now, because I KNOW that is essential for close-ups.

and yeah, let's assume that we aren't discussing VGA cellphones... or Polaroids scanned onto a PC :stoned:

some I have taken feeling the same way man...I have HUNDREDS o pics stored. I find the marijuana plant a gorgeous plant, as well as a joy to smoke. I used to be a "film only!!!" kinda guy, but I got a good digi cam, and some macro lenses...and there ya go...hard to keep steady zoomed in close, even with steady-shot, so medicate before snapping

also, check out Hatch's trich files thread, he can work wonders with a cam
