lol...Ive had alot of drafting classes and the way your taught to write on plans, all caps, has resulted in my writing looks LIKE INTERNET SCREAMING.

I went to college when they actually started letting people smoke cigs in the classroom!!! Right before they decided they will kill everyone around you!

If you can smoke mmj in class, I'd love to go back! I don't care about letters and numbers, unless it is coming from my checkbook! It'd be much more interesting in college if you could whip out a bong!

I smoked for 2-3 weeks straight everyday in the morning before school in about year 10 I kicked ass in Maths, which I usually suck at. But then I started fucking up so I stopped. Dunno what happened, but those few weeks were awesome. I only smoked tiny bits though, not mega baked. But everything was so clear, like I didn't have to struggle at all to figure shit out.
Afterward in year 11 whenever I got baked and went to class I'd trip out and have mega panic attacks. Actually they weren't too bad to what I have had when not stoned but yeh I panicked. But it was cool coz I only got baked at lunch time before I had visual art so I could just walk out of the class whenever I wanted lol.

I think the panic was coz every teacher knew I smoked and every kid too would say are you baked? and that'd always get me haha Dunno why when the teacher didn't even care, but yeah that's my story.

Writing on the other hand, is EASY! My teachers loved my "novel" approaches to stuff they'd read a 1000 times before. My Lit teacher even said she saved grading my work for last as "dessert"! (She was young enough to be my child, as was my ceramics teacher!) Graduated with honors, prez's list, yadda, yadda.......

Many folks have a touch of ADHD- like many things there is a whole spectrum of degrees of disability. I had a kid with fairly severe ADHD in my class a few years ago. He was failing badly! He started coming in REEKING of pot about half the time. THOSE were the days he could work. The teacher and I just ingored the obvious! He passed by the skin of his teeth.

I suspect that those of you who benefit greatly from a "wake n bake" before class may have a touch of ADHD or other mild psychological disability. The pot helps you focus, so you do better.

But for math, for most of us, pot really doesn't make it! Although you might want to try a puff or two (not really "stoned") for test anxiety.

Back in 10th grade I went to school high almost every morning. I would rip a bowl at the bus stop with my buddy. I always had math first, but I somehow managed to get an A in the class. I've tried in college and it just does not work, I need way more concentration and I don't really like to think much when I'm high.:jointsmile:

LOL, i was rereading the post and thought of something! When i was in 8th grade a buddy and I decided to run an experiment! we would go to half of our Iowa basic tests sober and the other half on four five-foot bong rips! the problem was that when we got on test scores back we had forgotten what tests were high and which were sober! oh well, I dont recall my mom yelling at my scores so they must have been ok! I guess cannabis in the classroom isnt bad after all as long as youre doing something so easy a caveman could do it!

I agree with the consensus here. Good for those theory and creativity classes. Bad when details are important such as in....darn, can't recall the name of that subject. Anyway,

I couldn't agree with you more! In my studies at school I have definitely seen articles and studies about using marijuana on kids with ADD and ADHD and the results are amazing. There was one mother who would bake cookies for her child and stick one in the kids lunch box and also give them some bread and butter in the morning. When she started doing this the child made remarkable improvements, both in school and out of school.

Ethics wise it could be an interesting debate about drugging your child with illegal substances. The way I see it, the kid doesn't know, the kid benefits from it, and it's not like she's making her child baked out of her mind, just high enough to calm the mind. :clap:
