    THC improves social skills?

man I love this thread! You're getting high....of course you might think you're the life of the party. Its like alcohol, it helps people think they're having a great time but you're just really drunk and people who aren't drunk yet are watching you for entertainment. Nobody ever really says anything to you about it because they want to see you making an ass of you again because its funny!

Its like when you're really stoned and sitting in a circle with your friends. At some point you look at your friends and they look like zombies...but that doesn't concern you, its actually pretty damp funny in that moment and you might even mention it to them, but you all start cracking up and then forget about it when you're normal again.

Occassionally I'll be responding to a post (like I am right now), while I'm higher than God (like I am right now), and thinking that I'm such a genius and so articulate, and damn it to heck if everyone right now isn't just imagining how ridicuously good looking I am (like I am right now), but then I'll read it again later when I'm not medicated and see all the typos, missing words, bad punctuation, etc. Yeah thats right, I just typed out a sentence that was really a paragraph. :rastasmoke:

definitely lowers anxiety of talking to someone, but sometimes gets your words mixed up and embarrass yourself even more ;p
    aha

but weed definitely improves all (at least a tad!) :hippy:

i didnt vote on this cuz i really have had mixed results.

i think alot of it is variable on your situation, mood, body, and environment

I for one have never been able to meet new people when high, no f'n way, no matter how much i can act str8

however I have talked a couple of police in the eyes high as a mothafucka! and been into zillion social situations on thc, @ work, even in class and lab

i cant say it improves my skills, no way
on the other hand i cant say it has a negative effect all the time either

its a mix, sometimes it makes u the man of the party, n cool
sometimes it will work in different ways

It really helps me out actually. A lot of times I won't know these people and not say anything and they think I'm a quiet person and then we smoke a blunt and I just whatever's on my mind and I feel more comfortable.

Total opposite for me, smoking destroys my social skills. I feel like I have no reason to be talking to anyone, that I should just leave and read a book or walk in the woods and think. I think it's because being high really makes me realize where I am and what I'm doing for what it IS, and allows me to make a more basic emotional response to it, instead of just going with the flow.

If I'm with a group larger than 3 people I'll usually try to avoid smoking, because I know I'll just realize that I actually am not enjoying myself by being with them.

    I could see that.

It allows you to look around and see how the conversation and the people around you communicate.

In theroy would allow you to communicate better within your group.

Man... i agree completly! Exactly the same happens with me!
But as for me talking with people is never too much enjoyable, being stoned or sober, i prefer to do this stoned, as it becames at least more bearable. Also, when im stoned i become detached, and so its easier to fake sympathy and that im actually enjoying the talk.

Just a little idea I'm throwing out there... when I'm high and speak with girls in teasey-funny way, and they start hitting on me, I get this IMMEDIATE image of two paths:
    1. Feel weirded out; they seem way too needy.
    2. YES, they like you,

I can almost understand how beautiful girls feel when they relentlessly get hit on; hahaha.
