LED vs HID

I'm new to growing, just wanted to know which should I go with for the best bud LED or HID, I know HID been around for a while but I'm hearing that LED's are just as good. Can someone help me out?

bro dont use led thats for mothers n other shit.... for growin u want at leat 1000 watt hps... thats what u want to bloom with... u can use it for veg but your node will be further apart n less nodes.... but your plant gets taller alot faster... 1000wt matel halides are great for vegin u get nodes really close together and your still growin 1-2 1/2 inches aday and u get bushy plants with alot of tops....

But, ya got some diggin' to do.
Suggest you rummage through the grow logs an "all will become clear"
Revenge of the LEDs is a good one.
Then weigh several factors;
Yield, operating expense, heat, initial investment, etc
Different strokes for different strains will complicate the decision as well.
Then, decide.
