Can they see? Question on urine sample

Okay, I'll put some brief background before I ask my question
First of all I am NOT getting DRUG TESTED; however I have a junior arthiritis-related disease and I am on shots of methatrexate (sp?). The doctor said that this lowers my immune system; since my white blood count is already low, my rheumotologist is requiring urine samples every 6 months and blood tests every 3 months to make sure everything is normal inside my body.

So my question is... when they run my urine sample through the lab to do whatever they are doing, will they be able to easily see that I have been using marijuana? Or do they have to do something special to check for that?

Basically, I am afraid they will tell my parents if they find out about it. The first urine sample i gave definately would have failed a drug test; they didnt say anything, but they did mysteriously lower my dose of methatrexate.

So does anyone know what they could use a urine sample for and if they can see that I have been smoking even if they arent testing for it?

If your parents gave the doctor permission they could check for drugs.

Yes. AND They shouldn't be testing for it, so it shouldn't be an issue.
BTW be honest with your doctors, they are not going to judge you because you smoke!
