Well, I think I need to say something here.

My internet service has been very poor lately and I have not been on here much. However, it seems to finally be somewhat better today (apparently phone company techs FINALLY took a look at the problem and partially solved it). I looked around and found that my old thread about contradictions was closed, so I could not say anything else.

I find it rather funny that people who were not even participating in the thread got offended by a comment I made that was simply meant to be amusing and companionable. I have read numerous threads on this site where people have said something like "We're just a bunch of stoners, what do you expect of us?" and really didn't think that anyone would have their feelings hurt.

If you took my statement in any way as being offensive, I sincerely apologize. I still stand by my observations that when you search the web you find numerous people who insist there is only one right way to do things, and someone else who will insist that one right way is absolutely wrong and this makes it more than a little difficult for someone trying to start out to sort the wheat from the chaff. THIS site is the one where I have found the most helpful info, but it has taken a lot of time to wade through it and I am STILL not sure if I know what I am doing with my plants. However, they are growing well and I can credit a lot of that to cannabis.com and the users here.

My comment about stoners and comprehension was meant in complete sarcasm to HEAD OFF someone posting a comment like that, not to cause anyone distress or to suggest I thought "stoners" were stupid. In fact it was quite the opposite - that I KNOW that there are the same percentage of "stupid stoners" as there would be in the general population - meaning using or growing pot won't make you any different from anyone else on the planet. And if you're successfully growing these plants indoors, I'd have to say they're probably a lot smarter than average.

I'm growing stuff because I have an illness and it substantially improves my condition. I know that many of you probably have the same problem I do - even when you are 100% legal and medically endorsed, there are a lot of people out there who automatically assume that you must be scamming something somehow just so you can be stoned all the time or something. I've been through this with other meds before - to control pain I used to have a prescription for oxycontin and I used to have problems with more than just the side effects - some people in my family would claim I was "addicted" and was just using it for yuks, and that was bullshit. I never abused it, actually took LESS than my prescribed dose most of the time, and had absolutely no problem with withdrawl when I stopped taking it after 2 years. I wasn't "addicted", it was medically necessary, and there was absolutely nothing better available at that time. Yet, some ignorant morons I knew still thought it was OK to pass such a ridiculous judgement and that REALLY pushed my buttons.

If my sarcastic comment pushed one of those buttons for you, I am sincerely and genuinely sorry.
