Quick Question - How is this possible?

Ok, so I found the attached photo on this site. My question is, how did he make it bud so short(early/height wise)? Is this possible for a sprout from a seed to do this at that height? Or is it just a clone with the biological age of its mother? (Please don't tell me to do some research, I know I'm a noob and I already have, found nothing, thanks)

Quick Question - How is this possible?

That plant was started under 12/12. It is strain dependant upon how big the flower gets under these conditions. Usually more indica and ruderialls dominant strains flower that small. Also the strain lowryder does something similiar.

Quick Question - How is this possible?

Oh, so if I had a very small grow space, I should just use 12/12 from germination and not even worry about the 24/0 veg? (I only have about 12" grow space for my personal use marijuana) Or would I just use 24/0 until it gets 6" tall, then switch to 12/12?

Quick Question - How is this possible?

To be honest it just depends on the strain. I just started a indica/sativa mix and mine grew up to a foot before flowering....If you just have a foot to work with, I would veg for 30 days doing some major low stress training (lst) and then continue to lst through the stretch period. You would probably harvest more this way.
Or you could try your luck!! and see what 12/12 gives you.

Quick Question - How is this possible?

Oh, ok, thanks, I accually just heard about LST today and thought I'd give it a shot (attached picture). The plants are exactly 2 weeks old today I guess I have about 2 1/2 weeks till I should switch them to 12/12.

Quick Question - How is this possible?

Hey Seuss! Welcome to C.com

I'm hoping, and going to assume, you mean 12" in between the top of the container (the one you'll finish in) and the lights. How's come you've only got 12" vertical to work with? It's possible with heavy LST but will probably be difficult. May I suggest checking out some of the cabinet and rubbermaid grows? I'm just thinking with even a bit more space your options and chance of success will be greater.

My main concern here: Is it worth it? If you're not in a mmj state, growing tiny plants like the one you pictured in your first post would not be an option for me. That pic is not something to strive for. No offense to the grower, just my two cents.

One last thing, I'd separate those two plants into their own smaller containers. Watering will be much easier, root growth will be better, and it'll give them each their own space, as opposed to fighting each other for room.

    Cheers!

Quick Question - How is this possible?

    Simon, your assumption was right.

The reason I have them both in the same pot is that I only have one Compact Floro in a heat lamp fixture (doesn't put out any heat after I changed the bulb btw) right now, I need to get another one, or just a regular grow light to seperate them. If I cant get one within the next week, I'll just split the pot down the middle with a peice of plastic, thus creating in essence two pots out of one, but in the same space.

Quick Question - How is this possible?

Another question, I have no idea what strain I planted, lol, they came in a bag of mids I bought, but both plants have a purple stripe running up the branches/shoots, the stripe is only on the top part of it, and it is very thin (about 1mm) but there is no stripe on the accual stem, is this any indication of what strain it is?

Usually that's actually a symptom of a nutrient deficiency.
