Found a bunch of plants growing near my house.

I just noticed them today, they look kind of like cannabis. I can't really be sure, it's too early in the season. But I figure you guys can help me. No other plant around looks like this, the leaves look like they are being eaten by bugs. It probably wasn't very smart, but I picked a few leaves off one of these, dried them in the microwave and smoked them. They don't really taste or smell like cannabis, very grassy, but I think I feel a very light high. I looked at the top of some of them, and there are these small... bud-like flowers starting to grow. The only camera I have on hand is a phone, so please just look at the pictures and tell me what it might be.

If I were you I wouldn't smoke anymore of it,I don't think it's pot. And even the best ditchweed out there wouldn't be all that great to smoke............

Be careful smoking unknown plants. It's def not recommended........

Not Cannabis sorry to say we have some of what looks like those around here also. Good place to grow around since they look kinda like it from above also, so it blends in somewhat

Seriously? Besides the fact that this site has voiced its opinion numerous times on disturbing crops that others have, most likely, put lots of time and money into... I would suggest this:

I'm no expert (and I have really bad vision)... but that's not any type of Cannabis plant that I have ever seen.

I understand that it's not like you ripped a bunch out of the ground (not that it would matter because that wasn't Cannabis), but it's along the lines of a stranger taking a bite of your sandwich. It's a violation of property... and privacy.

Also, if you got a light high off of one leaf that was dried in the microwave... then I'm pissed because why have I been spending money on buds this whole time? Could have been puffin' that trim.... :hippy:

On the lighter note: there are many threads of this nature with lots of Wikipedia pix for you to view and figure it out! If you haven't seen a real plant, visit the gro logs. It is a distinct plant. I have seen a lot of plants that look familiar, but they are just house plants or outdoor weeds unrelated to pot!

Nice that you took time to stop and smell the rose's. Dont' smoke um anymore! There is more at risk than you dying of it! You could get an uncurable disease that could end your pot smoking days! pr :jointsmile:

looked out my window, have acres of weeds that look like that and have a gardener coming to remove next week, feel free to come and weed a few acres. The bunnies eat them and those little fuckers are still alive too! The flower ultimately on mine is a white one! You can put it on your urn!

I smoke trim occasionally if I run out of herb, and although the high just doesn't seem full bodied like you get from buds, you can get decently high from leaves. These plants don't look like they have been grown by anybody, they are basically on my property and with all the holes in the leaves and the scattering through out the area, i'm almost 100% sure they are wild. You guys are freakin rabid, you know it's a shame when someone gets shot over cannabis.

I went out earlier and picked some more leaves and some of the 'buds'. Dried them in the microwave, because the curiousity was killing me. I could make enough cannabutter to pop the eyes out of my head if it is cannabis. I've smoked a little more of it, and what can I say?... I actually feel high. I got some of that legal bud from a friend who didn't want it yesterday, smoked 2 blunts worth, and I did not get as buzzed as I feel right now. If I would guess, i'd say ditch weed, but i'd like someone to give me a name for what this is. You guys are beginning to scare the hell out of me by saying i'm going to contract some kind of uncurable disease. What cannabis look-a-like gives you that?

Those leaves dont look anything like pot leaves, unless im just blind or the stuff I grow isnt pot. And nobody is trying to scare you here, they are just telling you how it is. If you cant find bud then wait till the right time of year (or do indoor) and do it your self and if you did decide to grow, wait till there are some buds to smoke. I have a feeling that "high" you got wasnt at all t.h.c. related (that would freak me out a little). :wtf:

You are right about smoking leaves! Better than resin for the stoners. In the '70's, our bud was so small you couldn't seperate the leaves from it and was more leaf than bud! We smoked it and it worked! But, could have been despiration and from holding our breathe!
