Yeilds and our setup.
Hi all,
were in to our 4th room now and its always changing, weve upped the lights and now are only growing 4 plants. Our previous room only yeilded 2.5 lbs of 6 plants and the setup was like this...
Background information:
We were using a 3 x 3.5m room with panda walls and floors.
5 x 600w hps lights - all with horizonal light configurations, two with chinamen shades and 3 with 'batman' shades
tap water with normal tds 350
nutrients starting at 850 in grow out to 1400ppm in bloom
pH kept at 6.0 during entire cycle, using a chemical tester to monitor
canna coco medium in 50L pots
drip clean
canna nutrients in grow, dutch master bloom
potash in bloom
shooting powder in the final 3 weeks
last 2 days rain water
18/6 light cycle during grow, 12/12 bloom
feed cycles - 3 x 1 minute feeds, 3 x 2 minute feeds
200l resevoir
50l brain
run to waste system
350m extraction outlet
200m inlet
350x300 carbon filter
This time around we had 6 plants, 4 weeks in grow, 9 weeks in bloom. we bend our plants over horizontal once they reach 20cm and use netting to assist with weight distribution. We also tipped them 2/3 times.
The outcome: 2-3 lbs yield
Next time around we're planning on reducing our plants to 4 and placing two 400w lights on the ground which would mean we would have a total of 3800watts.
For those resident growers, what other advice can you give us to maximise our yield? A friend was getting 9lbs off of 4 plants and we we expected more from this grow.
Nice to meet you all and I hope you can help with some adviceCheers.

Yeilds and our setup.
How did you decide on 1400 as an endpoint for your nute strength? Have you tested your strain to see if it can feed higher?
Are you yet running CO2? That right there will allow heavier feeding and give increased yield.

Yeilds and our setup.
Ive always just gone up to 1400, all the advice Ive been given has also said 1400. I let the TDS go up to 1600-1800 in the last two weeks as they didnt seem to mind and I was giving them a regular flush.
