A lot of coffeeshops have pipes and vapes that they'll let you use, just ask before you buy your herb. A couple of coffeshops i'd recommend are Dampkring, Barneys and Homegrown Fantasy. I'd stay away from the Grasshopper, it's overpriced and quality ain't very good. Best weed i had there on my last visit was Cheese, Hashplant 13 and LA Confidential.

You're gonna have a great time mate, i'm hoping to go over again in november.

" The Gray Area" ... as in "The Grays".... space-ailens-man!! it is a cool coffe shop I rember seeing a space ship and being wasted, I went their after visting a pub, lots of beer to choose from over their, I suggest that too. I dont realy drink beer that much; more of a whiskey or liquer lover when I do drink. But I went into a pub and pepole were brakin up bud and ordering beer. I sat for a couple and found out the beer (the lagers especialy) that they had was the bomb.

No alcohol served at Grey Area or practically any coffeeshop anymore.

Come to think about it, I think the people i saw smoking were Dutch hobos and tourists lol. Well, i have smoked some spliffs on the Dam square statue and in public before, perhaps it was bad form but isn't that deduction subjective? There is no absolute certainty and when one implies it, one implies infallibilty. We only have our best judgement, as a progressive, peaceful, rational being I am self conscious as well as conscious of others around me. I recognize anothers right not to be harmed, by harm i explain it as one's inalienable human rights and the guarentee of these from those who attempt to violate such. Also, physical harm, violence. This is harm. Then, there is offense. This becomes more hazy, more of a grey area. More subjective. What offends one will not necessarily offend another, morality is as i've said, subjective. Thus, i justify my actions because i partake in an activity which is a personal sphere of activity, i am harming no one but potentially myself, i have the free will to decide that and in Amsterdam i have the liberty to do such, generally. Tolerance in a society is essential for progression and a peaceful atmosphere. But i usually only smoke in the shops or maybe vondel. Not like i live there.. yet.

If you're in Leiden (nice place very close to the best beach in Holland at a place called Noordwijk aan Zee) try Smokey Coffeeshop it's at Lange Scheistraat 5 ,Leiden.

If you're in Rotterdam you have to try the apple tart at Cafe Brasserie Dudok, it's known throughout the country as the best.

For your smoking needs try 't Trefpunt , Botersloot 7, Rotterdam, or De Poel Eendrachtsweg 29, Rotterdam

If you're in the Den Haag area try De Mazzelaar , Zoutmanstraat 29, 's-Gravenhage
